The Eldritch were sorcerer-warriors trained at the ancient fortress that existed before Amerimor Academy.
They represent the older martial tradition beneath the school’s modern identity.
The Fortress
The Eldritch trained in a fortified complex on what would later become the academy grounds. During a major war, the upper portions of that fortress were destroyed or heavily damaged.
Those ruins were never simply erased. Later construction was built over and around them.
Legacy
Amerimor eventually became a military academy specializing in Eldritch arts.
That makes the Eldritch more than a historical footnote. Their methods, architecture, and buried infrastructure are literally underneath the institution attempting to study and inherit them.
